Mauro Pasta
Associate Professor of Materials Science at Oxford University
Professor Mauro Pasta is employed in the Department of Materials Science at the University of Oxford and serves as the academic leader of the Oxford Institute for Advanced Study (Suzhou). Professor Pasta's research areas include energy and catalysis, such as next-generation solid-state electrolytes, lithium batteries, novel electrode materials, clean energy (hydrogen energy obtained through electrochemical catalysis), and single atom catalytic reactions. Professor Pasta's main research focus in Suzhou will be on lithium batteries and clean energy obtained through electrocatalysis.

In addition, he is leading the SOLBAT (solid state metal anode batteries) project at the Faraday Institute in the UK, which is an independent research institute for electrochemical energy storage science and technology in the UK. Received the PIONTELLI Award from the President of Italy in 2017.
